Ashok Leyland opens new LCV dealership in Chhindwara

Ashok Leyland, one of the country’s leading commercial vehicle manufacturers has inaugurated its new dealership for light commercial vehicles (LCV) in Chhindwara. This marks its 8th such LCV dealership in Madhya Pradesh.
The new channel partner Sunil MotoCorp has a 3S (Sales, Service and Spares) facility, which is equipped with advanced tools, 5 quick service bays and has sophisticated infrastructure to ensure superior customer experience. The company currently offers a range of LCV products – Bada Dost, Dost, Partner and MiTR.

The CV maker says more than 500,000 Ashok Leyland LCVs are plying across India.
The recently launched Bada Dost is the first product to be built on an all-new platform and has three variants, i2, i3+ and i4. It is powered with an 80hp BS6 engine that delivers best-in-class power & mileage, high payload and load body length and loading space that helps customers earn more profit per trip. Owing to its low turning radius and best-in-class ground clearance, Bada Dost it says is the ideal vehicle for inter- and intra-city applications and can negotiate all terrains with ease.
The Dost range is available in the following avatars - Dost LiTE, Dost Strong, Dost XL and Dost+ to cater to different sections of the market and applications.
It caters to the 4-tonne payload segment and is available in both 4 tyre and 6 tyre options. It comes with load body options of 10ft, 11ft, 14ft and 17ft. The Partner is based on an internationally acclaimed vehicle platform & carries the renowned ZD30 CRDI engine.
MiTR bus, based on the same platform as Partner, comes in both standard bus and school bus options.
The Bada Dost is available at INR 1.01 million for the i4 and i3+ variant and at Rs 902,000 for i2 variant. Dost LiTE, Dost Strong and Dost+ are available at price starting from INR 785,000. The Partner is available at an attractive price starting from INR 1.6 million, while MiTR Bus comes at a price starting from INR 2.1 million.

Eicher Trucks & Buses, a business unit of VE Commercial Vehicles, has announced that it successfully hosted the second Woman Transporters Delegation at its Bhopal plant.
The event saw women leaders in the transport industry exchange ideas, share insights and explore new business opportunities. The discussion revolved around a wide range of topics such as digitisation, alternative fuels and intelligent mobility solutions that provide challenges and opportunities.
The women leaders were given an exclusive tour of Eicher’s Bhopal plant, an interactive session with VECV Executive Management and test drive experience.
