JCB, one of the leading manufacturer for material handling equipment inaugurated its first diesel telescopic boom platform – the T 65D – in Goa during the Aerial Platform Association of India’s (APAOI) conference. The machine is being manufactured at JCB’s Jaipur factory.

The T 65D has a platform height of 65 feet and 4 in and has a reach of 56 feet & 6 in with 450kg maximum load. Powered by a JCB diesel engine it comes with two work zones. It features an 8 feet platform, and the machine maximum weight is 12,500kg. 

The T 65D features a four-wheel-drive as a standard and has enhanced safety features which include a secondary guarding system, crush hazard which always protects the operator. It offers greater productivity through intuitive controls, oscillating starting angle, and Joystick ergonomics for fatigue free working.

JCB has invested in creating a distribution network specifically for these machines which includes 11 dedicated dealers with trained engineers and parts backup.

Construction and off-road equipment major SANY has launched what it claims is India's first hybrid off-highway 100-tonne mining dump truck – the SKT130S – with localised manufacturing at its Pune factory.

The truck operates with a 925 kW engine, which generates 3200 Nm of torque, 100-tonne payload capacity and a 61 CuM heaped body capacity, designed for mining applications.

The SKT130S is expected to achieve fuel savings of 20-25 percent compared to conventional mining trucks. A regenerative braking system enables the high-voltage battery to charge during downhill operation.

The truck includes an intelligent control module for operation management and a 10-inch central control screen for navigation and safety. The cabin meets FOPS/ROPS certification standards, aligning with global safety regulations.
