JML Expands Production At Chennai Facility

JCBL Marrel Tippers (JML), a leading manufacturer of specialised trailers, POL tankers and bowsers, special application export-oriented containers and components for the US and European market has expanded its manufacturing facility in Oragadam, Chennai.

The expansion the company claims will increase its production capacity by 25 percent and will allow to diversify its product offering across sectors including defence, automotive, navy, railways, construction equipment, petroleum transportation, mining, power transmission, and earth moving heavy fabrication components.

The company expects this move will create 200 new jobs and opportunities for around 40 new suppliers in the geography.

In addition to the existing 100,000 square feet, JML has operationalised more than 60,000 square feet of facility space in the first phase of expansion. Another 50,000 square feet facility has been planned for its second phase expansion. For FY2026, JML expects to further expand its facility for new projects.

    JCBL Delivers 100th Trailer To BEML

    JCBL (South), formerly known as JML, a leading trailer and truck solutions company, recently achieved a new sales milestone. The company delivered its 100th trailer to BEML, a Miniratna PSU under the Ministry of Defence, Government of India.

    It designs customised trailers as per client specifications. JCBL shared that its manufacturing facility is equipped with a dedicated layout that uses a single-piece flow concept. It uses software and precision tools to design the trailers as per the demanding needs of its customers.

      Pritika Auto Bags INR 25 Million Per Annum New Order For Components From Tractor OEM

      Pritika Auto Industries, a precision machined components manufacturer for the tractor and heavy commercial vehicles, has bagged a multi-year order from a leading multinational tractor manufacturer in India.

      The company is set to supply – differential housing assembly, front cover CCF and link top link crank to the tractor manufacturer. The order will contribute INR 25 million per annum to the company’s topline.

      At present, the company counts the likes of Escorts Kubota, Tractor & Farm Equipment, Mahindra & Mahindra, Ashok Leyland, Tafe Motors, Brakes India and SML Isuzu among others as its top clients.

        Daimler India Commercial Vehicles’ Oragadam Plant Gets IGBC Platinum Certification

        Daimler India Commercial Vehicles (DICV), a subsidiary of Daimler Truck, has attained a new feat by becoming the first manufacturing facility in India to receive the Indian Green Building Council (IGBC) Platinum certification under the latest stringent Version 2 standards. 

        The OEM said that its Oragadam plant was the only facility to get the recognition for its excellence in green manufacturing and sustainability of the 31 factories reviewed.

        The IGBC Platinum certification recognises sustainable building practices. DICV’s Oragadam facility has incorporated various measures to attain energy efficiency, water conservation, renewable energy, waste management, and biodiversity enhancement. A key element of DICV business strategy uses a strategic approach to sustainability, guided by the SPUR principle – Source, Produce, Use, Regenerate.

          JBM Showcases Medical Mobile Unit For Last-Mile Healthcare & Medical Aid To Key Dignitaries

          JBM Electric Vehicles, the electric vehicle business unit of JBM Group, showcased what it claims is India’s first Mobile Medical Unit (MMU) to key dignitaries J P Nadda, Minister of Health & Family Welfare, Manohar Lal, Minister of Housing and Urban Affairs and Dr S K Sarin, Director, Institute of Liver & Biliary Sciences. Also present at the occasion were S K Arya, Chairman, JBM Group and Nishant Arya, Vice Chairman, JBM Group.

          The MMU is focussed on providing last-mile healthcare and is equipped with medicines, staff, advanced medical equipment, teleconsultation capabilities and other logistics. It is equipped to provide a range of services and medical equipment such as - defibrillator, fibroscan, bio-chemistry analyser, centrifuge, blood transport box and ECG machine among others.

          JBM shared that the MMU is conceptualied, designed and developed entirely in India, aligning with the Prime Minister’s flagship health initiative – PM Jan Aarogya Yojna (PM-JAY). It is aimed at improving healthcare access in rural and semi-rural areas. The vehicle will act as a ‘Hospital on Wheels’ directly reaching to the people’s doors.
