Kia Adds 7 New Dealerships In Kerala, Targets 700 Touchpoints Across India By December

Kia India, a leading passenger vehicles manufacturer in the country, has added seven new dealerships in Kerala, taking its total count to 30 touchpoints in the state.
The rapid expansion is part of the company’s strategy to reach out to as many new customers as possible and also provide robust aftersales support.
At present, the brand has 178 touchpoints in South India, comprising Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Kerala and Pondicherry.
The Southern region also accounts for the second-largest market for the brand in terms of touchpoints, following the North.
Going forward, Kia India aims to have over 700 touchpoints by end-2024.
Hardeep Singh Brar, Senior Vice-President and National Head Sales & Marketing, Kia India said, “South India is one of the most important markets for Kia and expanding the touchpoints in the region signifies our commitment to growth and innovation. In an increasingly competitive market, touchpoints expansion is not just for immediate gains; it’s about building a foundation that supports future growth while staying true to the core values that customers have come to trust”.
In addition, Kia India has 24 CPO (Certified Pre-Owned) outlets in the region, which deals in selling, exchanging, and buying of pre-owned Kia cars.

Toyota Kirloskar Motor Crosses 100,000 Urban Cruiser Hyryder Sales Milestone

Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) has crossed the milestone of 100,000-unit sales of its Urban Cruiser Hyryder in India, underscoring the B-SUV’s strong acceptance in the Indian market and the growing acceptance of hybrid technology among Indian customers.
The SUV was launched in July 2022 and is available in three powertrains: self-charging Strong Hybrid Electric [SHEV], Neo Drive and CNG. Powered by a 1.5-litre engine with THS (Toyota Hybrid System) & e-drive transmission, the SUV delivers combined power output of 85 kW. Featuring a hybrid system that eliminates the need for external charging, the SUV offers a seamless and silent drive with instant power delivery. The Urban Cruiser Hyryder offers a claimed mileage of up to 27.97 km/l in the Self Charging Hybrid Electric Vehicle variant, 21.12 km/l in the NeoDrive (MT) and 26.6 km/kg in CNG mode.

Kia India Crosses 100,000 CKD Exports Milestone

Kia India, a leading premium carmaker has surpassed a new milestone of exporting 100,000 units of CKD vehicles since it began shipment in June 2020 from its Anantapur manufacturing facility.
Interestingly, Kia India is one of the key export hubs for Kia Corporation accounting for 50 percent of the company’s global CKD exports. For CY2024, 38,000 CKD units are expected to be shipped from India to markets such as Uzbekistan, Ecuador, and Vietnam. The company currently exports the Seltos, Sonet and Carens SUVs from India.

Maruti Suzuki India Attains 3 Million Units Export Milestone

Maruti Suzuki India (MSIL), one of India’s leading passenger vehicle manufacturers, has surpassed 3 million cumulative exports milestone.
It was in 1986, the company had commenced exports from India, and in September 1987 it shipped 500 vehicles one of the largest shipments in that period to Hungary. In FY2012-13 it crossed 1 million vehicle exports milestone, followed by 2 million in FY2020-21. The 3 millionth landmark vehicle was part of a shipment of 1,053 units that sailed from Gujarat’s Pipavav port yesterday comprising models like Celerio, Fronx, Jimny, Baleno, Ciaz, Dzire and S-Presso.

“Our exports from India have grown by 3 times from 4 years ago. Inspired by this global demand, Maruti Suzuki is determined to diversify and ramp-up vehicle exports to 750,000 units by 2030-31,” added Takeuchi.
For FY2025 (April-October) the company exported 181,444 units, which was 17.4 percent higher YoY. At present, Maruti Suzuki India exports 17 models to around 100 countries, which includes the likes of Latin America, Africa, Middle-East and countries in Asia too. The top export models include the Fronx, Jimny, Baleno, Dzire and S-Presso.
