Gulf Oil, Piaggio India Renew Exclusive Partnership For Two-Wheeler Lubricants

Gulf Oil Lubricants India Limited (Gulf Oil), a leading player in the lubricants industry, and Piaggio Vehicles Pvt Ltd (Piaggio India), a 100 percent subsidiary of the Italian auto giant Piaggio Group, have officially announced the renewal of their collaboration for two-wheeler lubricants. Originally signed in January 2020, the collaboration now extends until 2032 as per the renewed agreement.

Gulf will remain Piaggio India's official lubricant partner under this exclusive deal, serving the retail, workshop and factory fill sectors in India as well as a few export markets. The collaboration highlights a common goal of promoting innovation and providing outstanding customer service in the two-wheeler market. Since the beginning of the relationship, Gulf and Piaggio have collaborated to produce cutting-edge lubricants, such as coolants for Piaggio's sports bikes and engine oils for scooters and motorcycles. New totally synthetic ranges of lubricants are now undergoing testing and approval. In the commercial vehicle (CV) market, Gulf and Piaggio India have also formed a long-term partnership, reaffirming their dedication to offering high-performance lubricants for a variety of vehicle types.

    Bajaj Pulsar Crosses 20 Million Global Sales Milestone

    Bajaj Auto, one of the leading two-wheeler and three-wheeler manufacturers globally, has achieved a new sales milestone for its popular Pulsar brand.

    The company has announced that after a period of 24 years, the Pulsar motorcycle has crossed 20 million sales milestone, with the last 10 million unit sales coming in just six years.

    Launched in 2001, the Pulsar was amongst the first made-and designed-in-India for India, sporty motorcycle. The company has continued to evolve and expand the Pulsar brand across various price points. Bajaj Auto shared that it was in 2018 that the Pulsar brand crossed the 10 million unit sales milestone, a period of 17 years from the launch.

    The Pulsar is now sold across the globe including Latin America, Southeast Asia and Middle East among others.

    As part of the milestone celebration, Bajaj Auto has announced Special Celebration prices on select models with saving of up to INR 7,300.

      Royal Enfield Wholesales Crosses Million Mark In FY205

      Chennai-based mid-sized motorcycle major Royal Enfield has achieved a new one million unit wholesales milestone.

      The company reported wholesales of 1,009,900 units, which was 11 percent higher over FY2024. This includes sales of 902,757 units in domestic market, up 8 percent YoY and 107,143 units in exports, up 37 percent YoY.

        Royal Enfield’s Flying Flea FF.C6 Showcased In Mumbai

        Flying Flea, the electric vehicle brand of Royal Enfield, made its first showcase in Mumbai. The company brought its soon-to-be-launched first product the FF.C6 electric motorcycle to give a glimpse on what Royal Enfield aims to bring to the Indian and global market.

        The FF.C6 the company shared is inspired and honours the original Flying Flea motorcycle, which were used in 1940s and were popularised during World War 2. The front suspension features a precision-engineered forged aluminium girder fork and articulating mudguard. The girder fork, a distinctive element of early motorcycle design, has been reimagined with updated materials and engineering, providing strength, durability and refined handling. At present, FF.C6 is the only motorcycle available with girder fork, distinguishing it through a combination of heritage and innovation.

        A core element of the Flying Flea ethos is the design of the battery fins, merging tradition and technology. The front fins, arranged in odd sequences, represent progress, while the rear fins, placed in even sequences, reflect heritage. These two elements converge into a wing-shaped motif at the centre, symbolising the brand’s identity.

        Royal Enfield shared that the research and development was done at the Flying Flea Tech Centre, which employs over 200 engineers across India and the UK, filing more than 40 patent applications. It covers motor and battery management systems as well as connectivity solutions. At the core of the FF.C6 ride experience is an in-house operating system powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon QWM2290 processor.

        The company shared that the FF.C6 is designed to adapt to the rider, wherein the integrated hardware and software-led developments will continue to enhance the city-plus mobility experience. The in-house Vehicle Control Unit (VCU) manages multiple ride mode configurations, dynamically adjusting performance parameters to ensure a secure, intelligent and connected experience.
