India Bike Week Shifts From Goa To Panchgani Hills For 2025 Edition

IBW

India Bike Week (IBW), presented by Gulf Syntrac, has shifted its 2025 venue from Goa to Panchgani, Maharashtra. The move, executed due to the rescheduling of Zilla Parishad elections in Goa to the IBW dates, means riders will now converge in the Deccan hills on 19th and 20th December 2025.

IBW 2025 will transform Panchgani into a high-altitude playground for riders, featuring new trails, cooler winds, bonfire nights, camping and after-parties. The edition promises IBW’s line-up yet, offering motorcycling experiences across multiple terrains – from hill climbs and mud trails to manufacturer-led road tests.

Martin Da Costa, Founder and CEO, Seventy Event Media Group, said, “As we celebrate 12 years of India Bike Week, it’s incredible to witness how this festival has grown into one of the world’s most spirited motorcycling gatherings. Although circumstances pushed us to shift venues this year, our ethos remains the same – community, adventure, and the freedom to explore. Panchgani offers us a fresh canvas and IBW 2025 is shaping up to be our most exciting edition yet.”

IBW’s 12th edition includes showcases such as the Endurance Stunt Show by Pol Tarres powered by Gulf Syntrac, the Wheelie Experience by Aprilia and India’s Test Ride Arena featuring the majority of India’s premium motorcycle line-up, now including a showcase by the Gulf TrackHouse MotoGP Team.

Over 10 riding experiences await, from the Pulsar Stunt School to a dedicated Kids’ Mini Moto Track by Vida’s Dirt-E K3, along with masterclasses led by expert creators and overlanders.

Competitive racing will feature on FMSCI-backed tracks such as the IBW Hill Climb by Reise Moto and Harley-Davidson Flat Track Race.

The Skoda Kodiaq All-Wheel Drive Track makes its debut, offering driving and off-road challenges.

Presented by Carlsberg Elephant Strong Soda, the festival’s music line-up includes performances by King, Karan Kanchan, Sugga Honey, along with Harley-Davidson Rock Riders’ Music featuring Antariksh.

The BIG TRIP presented by Gulf Syntrac returns with a compelling line-up. Twelve speakers – including global overlanding legends Simon & Lisa Thomas, Elspeth Beard, Zubin Jaafar and storytellers Kshitij Saxena, Gautham AG, Candida Louis and Maral Yazarloo – will bring narratives of grit, resilience and exploration.

Classic Legends, the Mahindra & Mahindra-backed manufacturer of Jawa, Yezdi and BSA motorcycles, has appointed Jayapradeep Vasudevan (JP) to its leadership team. He joins the organisation with around three decades of experience in the automotive industry, focusing on strategic leadership and commercial operations.

For the past three years, he has operated within the electric vehicle (EV) sector, holding roles at Raptee.HV and Kinetic Green. This experience provided insights into consumer expectations and startup operations, which he now brings to the premium motorcycle segment.

In his new role at Classic Legends, Jayapradeep will work with the company’s dealer network and internal teams to scale the presence of its heritage brands. The company operates as a startup entity while managing a portfolio of established motorcycle marques.

“After nearly three decades in the automobile industry, I continue to feel grateful for the journeys that shape both my perspective and purpose. A significant part of my professional journey was with Royal Enfield, where I had the privilege of being part of a remarkable transformation journey with immense learning outcomes. With all the learning and experience of the transformational journey, three years back I stepped into the EV space with Raptee.HV and subsequently Kinetic Green. The experience with these EV startups offered valuable insights into the expectations of the new-generation consumers and helped me adapt to the pace and mindset of the startup ecosystem,” said Jayapradeep.

Suzuki Motorcycle India Conducts Access Mileage Contest In Rupnagar

Suzuki Mileage Contest

Suzuki Motorcycle India (SMIPL), the subsidiary of Suzuki Motor Corporation, Japan, held the Suzuki Access Mileage Contest in Rupnagar (Ropar), Punjab. The initiative involved 40 Suzuki Access owners and prospective buyers to evaluate the scooter’s fuel efficiency in city conditions.

The contest is part of a series of customer engagement events designed to demonstrate the mileage, pickup, and build quality of the Suzuki Access. The event was organised in association with Soni Suzuki and focused on real-world performance metrics for daily commuting.

The event targeted owners who purchased their scooters within the last year. To ensure transparency, the contest followed a specific testing protocol, where participants rode on designated city roads covering a distance of 20 kilometres. Scooters started with a full tank. Upon completion of the route, tanks were refilled to determine the exact fuel consumed. The mileage for each participant was calculated based on the fuel used over the 20-kilometre distance.

In addition to the mileage runs, the event included test rides for prospective customers and feedback sessions with existing owners regarding vehicle reliability and comfort.

Deepak Mutreja, Vice-President, Sales & Marketing, Suzuki Motorcycle India, said, “The Suzuki Access Mileage Contest places a strong focus on fuel efficiency, bringing our brand promise of ‘Pickup Bhi, Mileage Bhi, Shandar Quality Ke Sath’ to life. By riding on city roads, participants experience the scooter’s real-world mileage. Along with mileage, customers also get to experience the quality and reliability that have made the Access a trusted choice of over 6 million customers. We appreciate the participation from customers in Rupnagar. We will continue to extend such on-ground initiatives to more cities across India, allowing customers to connect closely with our two-wheelers and witness their performance firsthand.”

Jawa Yezdi Motorcycles Launches Roadster Red Wolf Edition At INR 209,950

Jawa Red Wolf

Jawa Yezdi Motorcycles has announced the release of the Yezdi Roadster ‘Red Wolf’ edition as a retrospective reference to the brand’s 1970s icons, featuring deep-red paint and chrome detailing across the engine, exhaust and handlebars.

The motorcycle is positioned as a long-haul roadster and will be available at authorised dealerships across India at an introductory price of Rs 2,09,950 (ex-showroom Delhi).

The Red Wolf is powered by a 350 Alpha2 liquid-cooled engine. It features a segment-first 6-speed gearbox equipped with an assist and slipper clutch. It gets dual-channel ABS from Continental with 320mm front and 240mm rear discs. Telescopic front forks and dual rear shocks, 795mm seat height and 171mm ground clearance, widest-in-segment rear tyre and 12.5-litre fuel tank providing a range exceeding 350 km.

The model incorporates a sculpted fuel tank, wide rear and hugger fenders and a modular solo or pillion seating setup. The ergonomics include centre-forward footpegs to create a relaxed riding triangle for touring. The exterior is finished with LED lighting and a twin-barrel exhaust system.

The motorcycle is supported by an ‘Ownership Assurance Programme’, which includes a standard 4-year or 50,000 km warranty, with options to extend coverage to 6 years. The programme also offers up to 8 years of roadside assistance and maintenance plans covering 5 years across 450 service points.

Anupam Thareja, Co-Founder, Jawa Yezdi Motorcycles, said, “The Red Wolf joins the pack of Roadsters from Yezdi, the only true India-born classic motorcycle brand in the world. It is a name which does not have to invent stories. It has them in every decade. Like a true Yezdi forged in India, the Roadster Red Wolf has the rare ability to set the rider up to look good, almost rakishly so, without trying too hard. Its vintage swagger is a throwback to Yezdi’s palette of deep reds and metallics from the 1970s. Only this time, beneath its unapologetic chrome lies performance engineering built for Indian roads and modern riders. We’ve built Yezdi Roadsters for those who don’t follow the pack. The Red Wolf is ready to gather its own.”
