Bajaj Auto-owned Austrian motorcycle brand KTM has launched the RC 160 at INR 185,000 (ex-showroom Delhi) and is available at dealerships nationwide.

The RC 160 is designed for riders seeking track-focused performance in the entry-level segment. It features a trellis frame with a full-faired design and follows the styling of the existing RC lineup.

The motorcycle is equipped with a 164.2 cc, liquid-cooled SOHC engine that delivers 19 PS at 9500 rpm and 15.5 Nm of torque at 7500 rpm. The engine features a 10,200 rpm redline and is paired with a 6-speed gearbox including an assist and slipper clutch. The reported top speed is 118 kmph; it features inverted 37mm front forks and a rear monoshock. In terms of braking, it uses 320 mm front and 230 mm rear disc brakes with dual-channel ABS. It gets 110/70-17 front and 140/60 R17 rear tubeless tyres on 17-inch alloy wheels. The RC 160 features a 13.75-litre metal tank.

The motorcycle gets an all-LED lighting system, including the headlamp, tail-lamp and indicators. The electronic suite includes a CAN-enabled system, electronic fuel injection and a Supermoto mode for the ABS. A TA variant is also available, which provides navigation support via the LCD instrument cluster.

TVS Motor Company Introduces 2026 Apache RTR 160 4V Range At INR 125,440

Chennai-based two-wheeler and three-wheeler major TVS Motor Company has announced the launch of the 2026 Apache RTR 160 4V range in India at prices starting INR 125,440 (ex-showroom Delhi).

The update standardises several technical features across the line-up, including a LED projector headlamp and an assist and slipper clutch, which were previously reserved for the top-tier variant.

The 2026 Apache RTR 160 4V range incorporates race-derived engineering to improve night-time visibility and rider control. The motorcycle remains the most powerful in the 160cc segment, delivering 17.55 PS.

Key hardware updates include:

  • Lighting: Class-D LED projector headlamps with LED daytime running lamps (DRLs) and LED turn signals across all variants.
  • Transmission: Integration of an assist and slipper clutch for smoother downshifts.
  • Electronics: Three ride modes (Sport, Urban, and Rain) and TVS SmartXonnect for turn-by-turn navigation and call alerts.
  • Chassis: Hydroformed handlebars and radial tyres for stability.

Hinduja Leyland Finance Partners Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India For Vehicle Financing

Hinduja Leyland Finance (HLF) and Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India (HMSI) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to provide financing solutions for motorcycles and scooters across India.

The partnership intended to increase two-wheeler penetration in both urban and rural markets through integrated credit underwriting and digital platforms.

HLF, a non-banking financial company (NBFC) under the Hinduja Group, will offer customised loan options across the HMSI product range. The collaboration focuses on providing flexible repayment structures to improve affordability for diverse customer segments.

The partnership will utilise HLF's branch network to reach emerging and high-growth markets. Implementing swift and transparent loan processing to reduce the time between vehicle selection and delivery. Aligning financing products with evolving consumer expectations for personal mobility.

Ultraviolette Automotive has opened a new UV Space Station in Nagpur, Maharashtra. The facility was inaugurated by Nitin Gadkari, Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways. This 3S centre, established in partnership with Quantum Surge Motors LLP, provides sales, service, and spare parts for the company’s electric motorcycle portfolio.

The Nagpur centre displays the F77 and the X-47 Crossover, a radar-integrated electric motorcycle featuring a 10.3 kWh battery and an IDC range of 323 km.

Ultraviolette has introduced ‘Battery Flex’, a Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) platform, which allows customers to purchase the vehicle chassis separately from the battery to reduce initial costs with the X-47 available from INR 149,000 and battery subscription starting at a monthly fee of INR 2,499.

Simple Energy Rolls Out Limited Time Complimentary 2 Year Warranty On Its E-Scooters

Bengaluru-based electric vehicle manufacturer Simple Energy has announced a limited-period complimentary two-year extended warranty on its e-scooters.

The limited-time offer, valid till 31st March 2026, valued at INR 6,500, aims to provide additional value and peace of mind to customers during their purchase. Furthermore, customers who wish to opt for the five-year Simple One warranty plan can do so by paying only the differential amount.

At present, Simple Energy’s electric two-wheeler offering includes Simple One Gen 2, which comes with a 4.5 kWh variant and a 5 kWh variant with a claimed IDC range of 236 km and 265 km, respectively.

On the other hand, the Simple OneS comes with 190km of claimed IDC range, offering a more accessible yet capable option for riders seeking efficient and reliable electric mobility. 

The company’s flagship Simple Ultra comes with an IDC claim range of 400 km, a top speed of 115 kmph and can accelerate from zero to 40 kmph in 2.77 seconds, which makes it India’s second-fastest electric scooter, next only to the Simple One (5 kWh variant).

In terms of pricing, Simple One Gen 2 (4.5kWh variant) is available from INR 169,999 (ex-showroom, Bengaluru) and the 5kWh variant from INR 177,999 (ex-showroom, Bengaluru). The Simple OneS Gen 2 is priced at INR 149,999 (ex-showroom, Bengaluru).
