Norton Motorcycles to launch 6 new motorcycles, expand sales in India and other markets

UK-headquartered Norton Motorcycles, part of the TVS Motor Company, has announced its ambitious growth plans.

It plans to invest and expand its sales operations in new geographies. At the Goodwood Festival of Speed, members of Norton’s senior leadership team – Sudarshan Venu, Dr Robert Hentschel and Richard Arnold – shared the vision of the brand and discussed how Norton is now perfectly placed to expand globally.

Sudarshan Venu, MD, TVS Motor Company said: “Our vision, commitment and investment into the Norton brand is entering an exciting phase. We look forward to sharing that with motorcyclists across the world.”

TVS Motor has committed 200 million pound sterling (INR 21.7 billion) across the life of the investment in new product development, facilities, R&D and world class quality engineering. 

The new Norton motorcycles is said to follow the company’s philosophy of ‘Design, Dynamism, and Detail’. 

The company aims to launch 6 new models over the course of next three years, starting next year. Furthermore, Norton Motorcycles is preparing for international expansion with an initial focus on the USA, Germany, France, Italy and India.

To further strengthen the company’s management team, Norton Motorcycles has appointed Richard Arnold, as the Executive Director, who was the Former CEO of Manchester United Football Club and Dr Robert Hentschel, Executive Director & CEO, of Norton Motorcycles. 

Dr Robert Hentschel said: “The investment in research and development and leadership has us positioned to take six exciting products to countries across the world, with world class quality and scale, spelling another epoch of success in the Norton story. Our focus on design, drivability and details will maximise the exciting opportunity for Norton as well as for those new customers that choose one of our motorcycles.”

This year also marks the completion of Norton Motorcycles honouring Norton Motorcycles UK (NMUL) customers. It has already invested 2.3 million pound sterling (INR 250 million) into the development, manufacturing and re-engineering of the Commando and V4 platforms; and the fulfilment and delivery of orders for customers of the previous company.

    2024 KTM 250 DUKE Now Available For INR 225,000

    KTM, the world's largest and India's fastest-growing premium European brand, has announced a price cut of INR 20,000 for its KTM 250 DUKE 250 cc motorcycle in India as part of its year-end celebrations.

    Featuring two ride modes, Street and Track, the motorcycle now also boasts new LED headlamp setup with integrated pilot lights and a 5-inch colour TFT display with turn-by-turn navigation and Bluetooth connectivity. Bi-directional Quickshifter now comes as standard on the KTM 250 DUKE 250 cc.

    The 2024 KTM 250 DUKE will be available at INR 225,000 (ex-showroom, Delhi) instead of its original price of INR 245,000 till 31 December 2024.

        Royal Enfield Launches Goan Classic 350

        Royal Enfield has launched the Goan Classic 350, a bobber-inspired motorcycle that is inspired by the ‘70s and ‘80s iconic Goan moto-culture.

        Powered by Royal Enfield’s popular 349 cc air-oil cooled, single-cylinder engine, the Goan Classic produces 20.2 bhp at 6,100 rpm and 27 Nm of torque at 4,000 rpm. Staying true to the bobber style, the Goan Classic 350 features chopped fenders, mid-ape handlebars, floating rider seat and whitewall tyres on tubeless spoke wheels. The Goan Classic 350 also features bolt-on arrangement pillion seat to switch between single and dual seat configurations and comes with a range of bobber-inspired Genuine Motorcycle Accessories (GMAs) including a custom rider seat, handlebar grips, bar-end mirrors, touring screen, touring handlebar, deluxe foot pegs and foot control rubbers.

        The Goan Classic 350 is built on a twin downtube spine frame and comes with telescopic front suspension with 41 mm forks and twin rear shock absorbers, along with dual-channel ABS with 300 mm front and 270 mm rear disc brakes. The dashboard features a gear position indicator and Tripper navigation pod, while a USB Type-C charging port ensures connectivity. The Goan Classic is available in three single-toned colour options (Shack Black, Purple Haze and Trip Teal) and one double-toned option (Rave Red). The single-toned colour variants are priced at INR 235,000 (ex-showroom Chennai), while the double-toned option is priced at INR 238,000 (ex-showroom Chennai).

          TVS Apache RTR 160 4V Launched At INR 139,990

          TVS Motor Company, a leading two- and three-wheeler manufacturer, has launched the updated TVS Apache RTR 160 4V at INR 139,000.

          The TVS Apache RTR 160 4V is powered by a 159.7cc, oil-cooled, fuel-injected, 4-valve, which produces 17.55 PS at 9,250 rpm and 14.73 Nm of torque at 7,500 rpm.

          It comes with a segment-first 37mm Upside Down (USD) suspension and three ride modes — Sport, Urban, and Rain, which the company claims enhance control, stability, and adaptability across diverse riding conditions.

          Like with most of the new models from the TVS Motor Co’s stable, the Apache RTR 160 4V now comes with TVS SmartXonnect technology, which provides Bluetooth connectivity, providing turn-by-turn navigation, call & SMS alerts, and voice assist.

          In terms of design, the refreshed TVS Apache RTR 160 4V’s can be had in three colour options – Granite Grey, Matte Black, and Pearl White, which are complemented by sporty, race-inspired graphics, golden-finish USD forks, and red alloy wheels.
