Chennai-based two-wheeler and three-wheeler manufacturer TVS Motor Company has reported its financial results for Q4 FY2024 and FY2024. 

The company reported revenue of INR 8,169 crore, up 24 percent YoY in Q4 FY2024. The net profit of INR 485 crore. 

For FY2024, revenue grew by 20% at INR 31,776 crore as against INR 26,378 crore last year. The net profit came at INR 2,083 crore as compared to INR 1,491 crore last year.

In terms of sales, in Q4 FY2024 the company 10.63 lakh two-wheelers and three-wheelers in the domestic and export markets, as compared to 8.68 lakh units last year. This includes 5.11 lakh motorcycles, up 32 percent; 3.40 lakh scooters, up 16 percent. Electric vehicles grew by 15% registering sales of 49,000 units as against 43,000 units for the same period last year. Three-wheeler sales came at 30,000 units, up 4% YoY.

In FY2024, TVS Motor Co reported record sales of over 4 million units in a financial year. The overall two- and three-wheeler sales grew by 14 percent at 41.91 lakh units as against 36.82 lakh units in FY2022-23. 

Motorcycles sales during the fiscal year grew by 15 percent recording 19.90 lakh units as against 17.33 lakh unit; scooter sales grew by 18 percent at 15.70 lakh units, compared to 13.34 lakh units. 

The sales of electric vehicles grew by 101 percent registering 1.94 lakh units in the year 2023-24 as against 97,000 units in FY2022-23. This translates to cumulatively TVS Motor Co branded EV’s crossing the 3 lakh unit milestone. 

Three-wheeler sales for the fiscal year is at 1.46 lakh units as against 1.69 lakh units last year.

In the India Bike Week, 2024, that will take place in Goa on 6 and 7 December, will see the Pulsar brand of motorcycles from Bajaj Auto make a ‘Definitely Daring’ debut. This will involve a unique experience of riding on a 100 ft. long bridge on the recently introduced NS400Z that is also 24 ft. high. 
Bajaj Auto, in collaboration with Ghost Ryderz (which is claimed to be India’s number one stunt riding team), will provide participants an experience that is unique as well as ‘learning’. For the first time, the two-wheeler major is taking Ghost Ryderz to India Bike Week to provide an opportunity for the participants to stunts such as a ‘wheelie’ or ‘stoppie’ under guidance of experts and in a safe manner.

KTM, the world's largest and India's fastest-growing premium European brand, has announced a price cut of INR 20,000 for its KTM 250 DUKE 250 cc motorcycle in India as part of its year-end celebrations.

Featuring two ride modes, Street and Track, the motorcycle now also boasts new LED headlamp setup with integrated pilot lights and a 5-inch colour TFT display with turn-by-turn navigation and Bluetooth connectivity. Bi-directional Quickshifter now comes as standard on the KTM 250 DUKE 250 cc.

The 2024 KTM 250 DUKE will be available at INR 225,000 (ex-showroom, Delhi) instead of its original price of INR 245,000 till 31 December 2024.

Royal Enfield has launched the Goan Classic 350, a bobber-inspired motorcycle that is inspired by the ‘70s and ‘80s iconic Goan moto-culture.

Powered by Royal Enfield’s popular 349 cc air-oil cooled, single-cylinder engine, the Goan Classic produces 20.2 bhp at 6,100 rpm and 27 Nm of torque at 4,000 rpm. Staying true to the bobber style, the Goan Classic 350 features chopped fenders, mid-ape handlebars, floating rider seat and whitewall tyres on tubeless spoke wheels. The Goan Classic 350 also features bolt-on arrangement pillion seat to switch between single and dual seat configurations and comes with a range of bobber-inspired Genuine Motorcycle Accessories (GMAs) including a custom rider seat, handlebar grips, bar-end mirrors, touring screen, touring handlebar, deluxe foot pegs and foot control rubbers.

The Goan Classic 350 is built on a twin downtube spine frame and comes with telescopic front suspension with 41 mm forks and twin rear shock absorbers, along with dual-channel ABS with 300 mm front and 270 mm rear disc brakes. The dashboard features a gear position indicator and Tripper navigation pod, while a USB Type-C charging port ensures connectivity.
