TVS Motor Invests GBP 100 Million in Norton Motorcycle

TVS Motor Company has announced an additional investment of GBP 100 million in Norton Motorcycles. TVS Motor had acquired Norton in April 2020.
Sudarshan Venu, Joint Managing Director, TVS Motor Company, said, “TVS Motor Company is excited to announce an investment of about GBP 100 million in Norton Motorcycle, the iconic British brand we had acquired in 2020. Some of these investments have already been made, leading to the creation of a world-class facility and the imminent launch of a re-engineered V4 SV and 961 Commando. A world-class team led by Robert Hentschel is working to bring Norton back to its rightful place. This investment will be towards electrification, cutting edge technology, world-class vehicles, manufacturing, sustainability and the future of mobility. This is expected to create 250-300 direct jobs over the next three years and another 500-800 indirect jobs across the supply chain. The investments, spread over the next few years, will result in an exciting range of products for the global market. A brand-new facility has already been set up at Solar Park, Solihull, UK, which houses Norton’s state-of-the-art manufacturing capability and the company’s new global design and R&D hub.”
UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson said, “Trade and investment between the UK and India are creating good jobs and sustaining livelihoods in both of our countries. I’m very pleased that TVS Motor Company has decided to join the legions of Indian companies investing in the UK, boosting our future mobility sector and driving economic growth.”
Norton recently opened its new manufacturing facility in Solihull, West Midlands, building British bikes in England using traditional hand-crafted techniques with modern-day machinery for consistently high quality, the release said.
It said the company’s new global headquarters houses state-of-the-art manufacturing capability and its new global design and R&D hub. This new facility is supported by the West Midlands Growth partnership,

Hero HF Deluxe Pro Launched At INR 73,550

Hero MotoCorp, the world’s largest two-wheeler manufacturer, has launched HF Deluxe Pro, its new offering in the entry-level motorcycle space at INR 73,550 (ex-showroom Delhi).
The HF Deluxe Pro is powered by 97.2cc engine, which produces 7.9 bhp at 8000 RPM and 8.05 Nm torque at 6000 RPM. It also gets i3S (Idle Stop-Start System) technology, low-friction engine and low rolling resistance tyres to provide higher fuel efficiency.
In terms of design, it gets refreshed body graphics, segment-first LED headlamp, sharp and edgy graphics and chrome accents.
The HF Deluxe Pro also features an advanced digital speedometer that provides real-time riding data and integrated Low Fuel Indicator (LFI). It sports 18-inch front and rear wheels with tubeless tyres, 130mm rear brake drum and a 2-step adjustable rear suspension setup.

Salman Khan To Invest In Indian Supercross Racing League, New Proving Ground To Come Up In Pune

Indian Supercross Racing League (ISRL), a franchise-based off-road motorcycle league, held the Season 2 launch of the competition in Mumbai. The event saw popular Indian actor Salman Khan further deepening his involvement with the event, by not only being the brand ambassador, but also his plans to become an investor in the league.
Furthermore, ISRL also aims to setup ‘ISRL Proving Grounds’, a dedicated grassroots motorsport development facility spread across 7 acres in Pune. It will offer amateur racing, kids’ track, motocross, supercross, ATVs and electric bikes among others.
ISRL, owned by Team Supercross India, is led by former international racers Veer Patel (two-time national SX Champion) and Eeshan Lokhande.

TVS Launches 2025 Apache RTR 310 At INR 239,990

Chennai-headquartered two-wheeler and three-wheeler major TVS Motor Company has launched the updated 2025 Apache RTR 310 at introductory prices starting INR 239,990.
The OBD2B-compliant 2025 TVS Apache RTR 310 now with the Build-To-Order (BTO) platform and Dynamic Pro Kit (DPK) offerings. It gets a host of new features such as Gen-2 cluster with multi-language UI, USD 43 Dia front suspension (base variant), sequential turn signal lamp (TSL) with new styling, hand guards, transparent clutch cover, key less ride (DPK), drag torque control, cornering drag torque control (BTO & DPK) and launch control feature in RT-DSC.
The motorcycle delivers 35.6 PS at 9,700 rpm and 28.7 Nm at 6,650 rpm. It also gets three new colour options with graphics, along with iconic Race Replica Sepang Blue on the top-end BTO variant.

KTM Launches Service On Wheels In Leh

Bajaj Auto-owned Austrian motorcycle brand KTM has launched KTM Service on Wheels (SOW) in Leh circuit, which is aimed at providing aftersales service to motorcyclists on the Manali, Keylong – Jispa - Sarchu route.
KTM's Service on Wheels will function between Jispa and Sarchu, providing quick response and assurance of safety for riders on these remote stretches. With this the company now features touchpoints at Bhuntar, Manali, Keylong and Leh, supported by a full-fledged 3S dealership in Leh.
The company shared that it will now be able to offer quick repair, spares backup, or preventive inspections for KTM riders at 12,500 feet.
