
Hyundai Motor India Ltd has launched the new Tucson SUV in India. It is the 4th generation model and is expected to build on the popularity of the earlier generation model.
A global best-seller for Hyundai since 2021, according to Unsoo Kim, MD & CEO, Hyundai Motor India Ltd., the new Tucson has been developed to exude an innovative yet futuristic appeal and reflects Hyundai’s premium and upscale identity. The SUV is based on five key pillars – iconic design (with unique and revolutionary design elements like concealed rear wipe/wash and stylish LED lamps), premium comfort and convenience (courtesy best-in-segment length of 4,630 mm and best-in-segment wheelbase of 2,755 mm), level-next safety, dominant performance, dominant performance and advanced infotainment and connectivity.
Featuring a futuristic and revolutionary new cabin design that includes the use of soft touch materials and 64-colour ambient lighting, the SUV has a 10.25-inch floating type digital cluster. The digital cluster displays personalised themes, turn-by-turn navigation, front and rear parking sensor information, drive mode select (Normal/ Eco/ Sport/ Smart) and multi-terrain modes (Snow/Mud/Sand). Equipped with multiple climate control technologies with the first in the segment multi air mode that draws inspiration from aircrafts, the new Tucson could be has with front ventilated and heated seats.
Offering a voice enabled smart panoramic sunroof, the vehicle also features Bose Premium Sound 8 Speaker System, Hands Free Smart Power Tail Gate with Height Adjustment, Driver Power Seat Memory Function, Electric parking Brake, Wireless Phone Charger, Rain Sensing Wipers and Remote Engine Start with Smart Key.
With the second row seat reclinable, the SUV presents additional features such as a passenger seat walk-in device, second row seat folding boot lever, 60:40 split folding rear seat, advanced connectivity solution in the form of Hyundai Bluelink that has enhanced Voice Recognition commands and over the Air Updates (System and Map), delivering a seamless 3rd space experience, a 10.25-inch HD Audio Video Navigation System with Split Screen display, Smartphone Connectivity (Android Auto / Apple Car Play), Multi Language Support (10 Regional Languages and 2 Global Languages), Home-to-Car (H2C) with Alexa and Google Voice Assistant in Hindi & English (1st in Segment), Ambient Sounds of Nature, Valet Mode and User Profiles for Personalisation.
Fitted with Hyundai SmartSense (Level 2 ADAS) system that has been developed on the third Generation Compact (N3) platform, the SUV’s body structure has been strengthened with AHSS (Advanced High Strength Steel) and HSS (High Strength Steel) application. Extensive application of hot-stamping has been done to ensure superior protection in the event of a collision. The ADAS features include Driving Safety Functions, Forward Collision Warning, Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist-Car, Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist-Pedestrian, Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist-Cycle, Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist-Junction Turning, Blind-Spot Collision Warning, Blind-Spot Collision- Avoidance Assist, Lane Keeping Assist, Lane Departure Warning, Driver Attention Warning, Blind-Spot View Monitor among others.
Powering the Tucson is a 156 PS 2.0-litre Petrol Engine with a 6-Speed automatic transmission and a 186 PS 2.0-litre Diesel engine with an 8-Speed automatic transmission.

Kia India has announced a significant change to its leadership team, naming Sunhack Park as Chief Sales Officer (CSO) and Joonsu Cho as Chief Business Officer (CBO).
As the new CSO, Park will head Kia India’s sales strategy, focusing on sustainable growth, improving operational efficiency and expanding the brand’s market reach. He brings over 28 years of international automotive experience, having held key leadership positions at Kia Headquarters in South Korea, the Middle East & Africa (MEA) and India.

Mahindra Launches New Thar SUV At Prices Starting INR 999,000

Mumbai-headquartered SUV major Mahindra & Mahindra has launched the new Thar with prices starting at INR 999,000. The vehicle incorporates design changes, comfort features and technology integration, engineered for urban travel and weekend adventures.
The popular SUV has gone home to over 300,000 customers, now features a new exterior, which includes a front grille, a dual-tone front bumper and R18 alloy wheels. The interior includes a black theme dashboard and a new steering wheel. It is available in six colour options, including two new additions: Tango Red and Battleship Grey.
For comfort and convenience, the Thar features rear AC vents for second-row passengers, a sliding armrest and a dead pedal (automatic transmission models). Door-mounted power windows, a rear-view camera and an internally operated fuel lid are included. The vehicle also has a rear wash & wiper and an A-Pillar entry assist handle.
The Thar is equipped with a 26.03 cm HD infotainment screen that supports Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Other tech includes Type-C USB ports and Adventure Stats Gen II, which provides off-road data such as a racing tab, altimeter, outside temperature and pressure, trip meter and steering direction.
Mahindra offers a range of engine options paired with transmissions – a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed torque converter automatic – in RWD as well as 4X4 configurations.
