HMSI Hosts Road Safety Convention In Mumbai

A crucial road safety convention was organised by Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI) in Mumbai, Maharashtra. As a component of HMSI's continuing initiative, Mindset Development for Our Future Generation, the convention emphasised the organisation's commitment to fostering a sense of road safety from a young age.

One hundred teachers and school principals from Mumbai's government schools were in attendance at the conference. Along with other distinguished representatives from the government and HMSI, the event featured notable guests such as Prabhu Nagaraj, Operating Officer, Corporate Affairs; Nisar Khan, Deputy Education Officer, Western Suburb, Mumbai; Gorakhnath Bhawari, Administrative Officer Schools, Education, Mumbai and Harpreet Singh, General Manager, Safety Riding Division, Corporate Affairs.

HMSI places a strong emphasis on the need of education and attitude development in fostering appropriate driving behaviour in the face of India's difficult traffic situation. The goal of the conference was to address the urgent need for communities and students to be more conscious of road safety. Given the current traffic situation in India, which emphasises the need for controlled road usage, HMSI concentrates on offering cutting-edge teaching modules intended to instil in kids a safety-first mentality.

These carefully chosen age-specific modules, which are centred around HMSI's worldwide safety motto ‘Safety for Everyone’, are meant to be included into school curricula and give pupils the fundamental knowledge and abilities they need to be safe on the roads. HMSI has successfully organised 13 road safety conferences thus far, reaching over 1,600 schools and educating over 470,000 students nationally thanks to their unwavering efforts. In the upcoming months, HMSI plans to build on these successes by extending its road safety programmes to more cities.
